About
Hi, I’m James Colvard, a web designer and developer and a new resident of Washington D.C. I have spent the past 7 years working in San Francisco, most recently at Art.com. I’ve worked on projects with such companies and clients as Applied Identity, Cnet, Compview Medical, Coremetrics, David Arthur Vineyards, Facebook, nCircle, and Success Factors.
For the past two years I was employed at Art.com, located just over the San Francisco Bay Bridge in Emeryville. My specific tasks included concepting, information architecture, wire-framing, designing, and programming. I worked closely with the creative and IT departments while creating new web applications, site landing pages, email campaigns, and mini sites.
Prior to Art.com I worked in downtown San Francisco at a network security company called nCircle. In my time at nCircle I focused on bringing marketing concepts to life through on-screen media. I maintained the company’s external marketing website, designed and built email templates, worked in video production, and built multimedia seminar and tradeshow presentations.
In addition to my in-house positions I’ve worked on several projects as a partner in Pixus Media, which primarily consists of myself and a close colleague. Over the past several years we have provided clients with various online products including marketing sites, e-commerce solutions, and business applications.
I am currently seeking an in-house position in the D.C. area. Ideally the position would allow me to utilize my skills in front-end development as well as design. My primary objective is to join a team of positive people that truly enjoy their work.
